The Cambodia Project

8/8/25

Since 2010, StoryQ has brought the 5000 Days Project to the Sunrise Children’s Homes in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia. These homes provide safety, education, and hope to children who have faced poverty, abandonment, or abuse. Our annual visits give them a platform to share their thoughts, dreams, and evolving identities.

Through StoryQ’s guided interview process, the children have the opportunity to speak openly and be truly heard—something many have never experienced before. Each year’s conversation builds on the last, creating a longitudinal record of their growth and resilience.

For the children, these films are more than interviews—they are affirmations of their worth and a tangible record of their journey. For Sunrise, they are a living testament to the power of stability, education, and love in transforming young lives.
